Our cacao is sourced directly from Soconusco, Chiapas, from a Cacaotera. Our journey led us to the enchanting Cacaotales, where we were captivated by the rich history and unwavering passion for cacao. The roots of the cacao trees in this region can be traced back not only to Mayan culture but also to the Olmecs, spanning over 3500 years. Renowned for its ceremonial-grade quality, the cacao from these trees is truly exceptional.
Nurtured by the fertile lands near the Tacana Volcano, the Cocoateros benefit from the unique combination of ashes, air, rain, and salt from the Pacific Ocean, contributing to the optimal growth of our cacao. Passed down through generations, these trees are cherished by families who dedicate countless hours to the meticulous retrieval of cacao pods.
