We'll have a reading nook with free books, storytellers, local children's authors and art workshops.

We're also gathering school and art supplies for two schools in Mexico. One located in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon and the other in Tonala, Jalisco.

Coco-Kids Story Time

We will be reading: Love Monster and the Last Chocolate.

Reading starts promptly at 11:40 to allow kids to get settled in.
Bring your own blanket or towel.
Reading the book only takes about 20 minutes or less depending on the kids.
Afterwards we will have a dip and decorate your own paleta activity. $4 per paleta.

Adult: Truffle Making Class

June 1st Saturday from 4pm to 6pm.

Chocolatier Andrea will show you the art of European truffle making.

She will teach you the basics of ganache making.

Then you will create two of our signature truffles one dark and one milk. You learn how to temper and hand dip truffles.

Each student will leave with a box of 25 truffles and a notebook.

The class will last about 2 hours.

Good to know:

Please wear you hair tied up.

Bring your favorite apron but if not we will provide ours.

Yes, you can bring your own favorite beverage.

Yes, you will leave with a recipe card.

Truffles will not be dairy free but they are gluten free.

We must have a minimum fo 5 students to conduct the class, if we do not meet the minimum we will contact the student and let you know if it is cancelled.

Recommended for ages 15 and up.

They will be making a chocolate cell phone. Followed by making a free hand lollipop, marshmallow pop, dipping fruit and a fruit based popsicle that they can drizzle chocolate.  

Chocolatier Andrea will guide the kids through the class and share her chocolate knowledge. 

We ask for parents to wait in the sitting area during the class for older kids.  Please have kids with long hair wear it tied back. 
Recommended for kids age 5-10 years old.  
Limited Availability! Classes are subject to cancelation if less than 6 tickets are sold.

CocoAndre and Chicle Zine have curated a Valentine's Market with a purpose.

Through friendship and love we will be a platform to show case small local businesses. Our mission with this market is to collect Hygiene products for women in need. So donations of sanitary products will be accepted and if you donate you will be entered in our raffle to win prizes from a few of our attending vendors and of course some chocolate. You may also purchase tickets for $1 minimum or open for donation for each to enter into the raffle.

Vendors will also have the opportunity to speak about their business.

For the guests attending it is a time to show love to entrepenuaers that are putting themselves out there and taking a risk.
All while hanging out with your loved ones in a safe space. Serenaded by local vocalist and DJ LuvVsick will keep us dancing while we SIP and shop.

There will also be back drops for your Valentine selfies.

In this class we be teaching the art of giving kids will be working with chocolate to create variety of gifts that they can eat or give away:
2 snowflakes with toppings of their choice
2 make a marshmallow snowmen lollipops
3 hand piped pretzel Christmas trees 

Like always if there is time left we will work on extra items. 

Recommended age 4 and up.

Parents can come in an help their kids with their activities if needed.

We will have time for pictures afterwards with CocoAndre’s Chocolateras.

Hot chocolate for the little ones after class.

Vegan Adult Class

The class will be conducted by Chocolatera Andrea.   In this class  she will be discussing her mission of buying directly from farmers in Chiapas and  this will also will be a time for students to learn about the health properties of high quality chocolate and its benefits. 

Students will learn the basics of vegan truffle making, a vegan chocolate bar,  and will sample vegan chocolate drinks.   Students will leave with all items they make and there will be cacao beans for purchase and items to make your own chocolate at home.

Kids Class : Chocolate Sugar Skull

 

The class will include making a decorating a chocolate sugar skull, making a  lollipop with fun toppings, and dipping various things and of course eating chocolate.  Chocolatier Andrea, will explain the tradition of sugar skulls and what they represent.  This class is $35 for one child, if the child requires help we do allow the assistance of a parent. Recommended for children ages 5 - 15 and please wear  hair tied up.

So lets get creative with chocolate.

For one night, come out and show some love to our brothers and sisters of Mexico and Puerto Rico as Dia de Los Cocineros unite an array of talented chefs, taqueros, pastaleros, and tamaleros as they showcase their passion. Please join us at the Double Wide on Monday October 30th to help raise funds for families in need.

Mezcal and Chocolate Pairing

Coyota Mezcal and CocoAndre Chocolatier are teaming up to take Mezcal and chocolate to another level. This pairing will feature Coyota's collection of mezcales coming from Zacatecas paired with chocolates from Chiapas and chocolates infused with mezcal. This will kick off our celebrations for Day of the Dead. 

Mezcal Coyota is a project that promotes variety in the mezcal culture focusing on the Zacatecan tradition, which dates from the 17th century. 
Our mezcals represent two diferent regions of Zacatecas. we rescue and respect traditional crafting procedures, using elements such as the quarry mill stone, cooking with a stone oven and and old steam engine.

The cost will be $25 per person. 21 and up / private event/ mezcal is complementry
