White House Initiative : Latinas in the U.S.

Chocolatier Andrea Pedraza, has been chosen to speak as a panelist during the entrepreneurial session at the White House.  So we are hitting the road again and representing Latinas in the U.S. moving the economy  and Dallas.

At 54 million strong, Hispanics in the U.S. are the largest, youngest, and arguably the fastest growing population in the nation, and will represent 60 percent of our nation’s population growth between 2005 and 2050. Last year, in support of the White House Council on Women and Girls, the Initiative published a report, Fulfilling America’s Future: Latinas in the U.S., to highlight the condition of Hispanic girls and women in the country and their participation in areas such as: education, health, labor, housing and politics. The report highlighted the critical role Latinas play in this country—as a growing demographic Latinas are 1 in 5 females in the U.S. and will comprise nearly one-third of the country’s female population by 2060. The summit will elevate the findings of the report and continue the conversation started at the White House.
